Two Information Technology students from WCC Antipolo are set to take their learning beyond borders as they participate in a student exchange program at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) in Canada this August.

Abigail Flores Jacinto and Jeed Francis V. Placio from College of Information Technology were selected as scholars under the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) program, which provides students from ASEAN member countries with opportunities to pursue short-term study or research in Canada.

Through the exchange, the students will gain exposure to an international academic environment, experience a different culture, and further develop the knowledge and skills they have built through WCC Antipolo’s Information Technology program.

Ahead of their departure, Ms. Jennifer Montero, NSCC Representative for Asia, visited the WCC Antipolo Campus on August 6, 2026, to meet the two scholars and engage with WCC officials regarding their upcoming academic journey. Accompanied by Dr. Dick O. Eugenio, Director of the International Affairs & Strategic Partnerships Office (IASPO), Ms. Montero also met with Prof. Noemi Rivera, Campus Director, and Prof. Robie Robas, BS Information Technology Program Head.

The participation of Jacinto and Placio in the SEED program marks another step in WCC’s continuing efforts to expand international learning opportunities and prepare students to thrive in diverse and globally connected environments.

Congratulations, Abigail and Jeed! May your exchange open new perspectives, meaningful connections, and greater opportunities for learning and growth.
