In observance of Save Sierra Madre Day, Biology students from World Citi Colleges (WCC), through their organization BioSync, participated in a reforestation initiative at Gabriel’s Sanctuary on September 26, 2026, contributing to efforts to protect biodiversity and restore native forest ecosystems.

Representing BioSync, students from BIO-2A joined Gabriel’s Sanctuary and other conservation partners in planting 100 Philippine native trees as part of the sanctuary’s 5,000 Trees Campaign.

The activity supports the objectives of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ (DENR) National Greening Program, which promotes forest rehabilitation and environmental conservation.

The initiative reflects WCC’s commitment to developing environmentally responsible World Citizens who translate scientific knowledge into meaningful action for their communities and the environment.
