World Citi Colleges (WCC) welcomed Mr. Rob Claridge, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Skills Management Institute (ASMI), for an academic engagement with students of the WCC School of International Hospitality Management (SIHM).
During his visit, Claridge delivered a lecture on international opportunities and professional pathways in the hospitality industry. He shared insights into the global hospitality landscape and the value of internationally recognized credentials in preparing students for careers beyond the Philippines.
Claridge also met with Dr. Dick O. Eugenio, Director of the International Affairs Office (IASPO) and Dr. Katherine Cadal, Dean of the School of International Hospitality Management (SIHM) o to further discuss a proposed 2+2 pathway between WCC and ASMI. The pathway is envisioned to enable eligible hospitality students to complete part of their studies at WCC and continue their education through ASMI, providing them with an opportunity to earn Australian credentials alongside their WCC degree.
Established in 2009, ASMI is a current Registered Training Organisation in Australia offering vocational education and training to local and international students. It delivers qualifications across hospitality, commercial cookery, tourism, business, leadership and management, and other industry-focused fields.
The proposed pathway reflects WCC’s continuing commitment to building credible international partnerships that expand students’ access to globally relevant learning, recognized credentials, and broader career opportunities.
