As part of its commitment to strengthening industry-relevant education and advancing healthcare learning, World Citi Colleges (WCC) College of Pharmacy recently hosted a Special Lecture on Pharmacotherapy for Oncologic Disorders and Oncologic Drugs for Pharmacy students.
The lecture was delivered by Ms. Anna Andrea S. Sabado, RPh, CPh, MSc, Oncology Pharmacy Manager at Garrod Health Inc., who shared valuable insights on the role of pharmacists in the treatment and management of oncologic disorders.
The special lecture provided an opportunity for pharmacy students to engage directly with an industry practitioner, allowing them to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world clinical application. Through discussions on emerging treatments and professional practice in oncology pharmacy, pharmacy students were able to sharpen their clinical lenses on the evolving healthcare landscape.
This initiative forms part of WCC’s ongoing efforts to bring industry experts into the classroom, ensuring that students are exposed to current professional practices and emerging trends in their respective fields.
By integrating specialized lectures and industry-led learning experiences, WCC continues to prepare future healthcare professionals with the knowledge, competence, and global perspective needed to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of healthcare and society.
