Communication students from World Citi Colleges Antipolo and WCC Aeronautical & Technological College North Manila, in collaboration with the International Affairs and Strategic Partnerships Office (IASPO), came together for this year’s Media Communications Summit.
The summit brought together young communicators, educators, and media practitioners to explore how compelling visual narratives can drive meaningful change and influence public perception—anchored on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
The highlight of the event was an inspiring keynote address by Dr. Soňa Chovanová Supeková of Pan-European University (Slovakia), one of WCC’s esteemed international partner institutions. Dr. Supeková shared valuable insights on how authentic storytelling and creative visual strategies can build trust, promote social responsibility, and strengthen institutions in today’s dynamic communication landscape.
Following the talk was the competition proper, where Communication students showcased their original visual storytelling campaigns that reflected themes of justice, peace, and institutional integrity. Each entry demonstrated the students’ growing expertise in blending creativity with advocacy—using media not only as a tool for persuasion but also as a force for positive change.
