In line with its commitment to delivering industry-relevant and globally aligned education, World Citi Colleges (WCC) and WCC Aeronautical & Technological College (WCC ATC) formalized a partnership with EC Council through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held in Quezon City.
The collaboration focuses on enhancing students’ technical competencies through access to globally recognized IT certification training programs, designed to complement existing academic instruction and strengthen industry readiness.
EC Council offers gold standard certifications in cybersecurity. In the Philippines, their certifications are offered to students of higher education institutions through CertTech Central Inc. Through its academic partnerships, CertTech facilitates access to learning resources, certification pathways, and advisory support for integrating industry-relevant skills development into educational environments.
Under the agreement, WCC and WCC ATC will incorporate certification training opportunities such as Network Defense Essentials, Ethical Hacking Essentials, and AI Essentials as part of their student development initiatives beginning Academic Year 2026–2027. These certifications are intended to supplement academic learning by providing students with additional credentials that reflect current industry standards in cybersecurity, networking, and emerging technologies.
As part of the initiative, selected faculty members will undergo training and certification to ensure effective delivery and alignment with program outcomes, while EC Council will provide learning materials, exam vouchers, and technical guidance.
The partnership reinforces WCC and WCC ATC’s continued efforts to build meaningful industry linkages—ensuring that graduates are equipped not only with degrees, but with relevant, verifiable skills that meet evolving workforce demands.
