World Citi Colleges (WCC) and WCC Aeronautical & Technological College (WCC ATC) formalized their academic partnership with Shinawatra University (SIU) in Thailand through the signing of separate Memoranda of Understanding on June 5, 2026.

The collaboration will explore academic cooperation among the institutions, with proposed initiatives covering faculty and student exchanges, collaborative research, professional development activities, and the sharing of academic knowledge and educational resources.

The partnership builds on SIU’s participation in WCC’s recent academic initiatives. Dr. Kayun Chantarasathaporn of Shinawatra University served as the keynote speaker during the April 24 session of the World Citizen Intelligent Futures Webinar Series, where he discussed the integration of artificial intelligence in education and its evolving role in teaching and learning.

SIU also took part in the Research Innovation for Sustainable Education 2026: International Conference on Research and Exhibits on Aviation, Aeronautics, Tourism, Engineering, and Education, also known as RISE ICREATE. Its involvement in these initiatives reflects the institutions’ shared interest in advancing academic dialogue, research, innovation, and the responsible application of emerging technologies in education.

Through the partnership, WCC, WCC ATC, and Shinawatra University intend to create opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to gain international academic exposure. It also opens avenues for faculty members to participate in short-term teaching engagements, jointly supervise research projects, and collaborate on seminars, conferences, and workshops focused on emerging areas in education.

The agreements were signed by Dr. Julie Simon Macariola, Manager for International Affairs of Shinawatra University, and Dr. Dick O. Eugenio, Director of the International Affairs Office of WCC and WCC-ATC.

The partnership reflects the institutions’ shared commitment to advancing globally connected education through meaningful academic exchanges and collaborative learning opportunities. It also strengthens WCC and WCC ATC’s continuing efforts to expand their international academic network and equip students and faculty members with broader perspectives and competencies for an increasingly interconnected world.
