World Citi Colleges (WCC) welcomed its fifth batch of interns from Vietnam’s FPT University (FPTU), continuing an educational partnership that provides students with opportunities to apply their learning in a Philippine workplace and gain experience across cultures.
The batch comprises 30 students from Digital Arts & Design, Marketing Communication, English Language, and International Business—the largest FPTU internship group hosted by WCC to date. They are accompanied by Mr. Nguyễn Thành Phát (Harry), International Collaboration Specialist at FPT University.
Through the internship, students bring their academic training into a setting where assignments require collaboration, communication, and adaptation to workplace expectations. Working alongside WCC personnel also gives them opportunities to learn how their respective disciplines contribute to the day-to-day work of an educational institution.
The exchange creates opportunities for learning on both sides. While the Vietnamese interns gain exposure to Philippine workplace practices, WCC’s host teams engage with different perspectives and approaches to creative, communication, language, and business tasks.
For international learners, the program offers a way to experience the Philippines through practical work and interaction with local colleagues. WCC’s continued hosting of FPTU interns gives this experience an institutional setting, connecting students with teams where they can apply their skills and learn through participation.
Now on its fifth batch, the WCC–FPTU internship program demonstrates continuity in the two institutions’ partnership and WCC’s role as a host for international workplace learning in the Philippines.
