PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Prepares students for academic success in Chinese-speaking universities and educational institutions through comprehensive language and academic communication training. It develops the Chinese skills needed for classroom interaction, academic reading and writing, presentations, and participation in campus life. The program also strengthens academic vocabulary and communication skills required in Chinese-medium educational settings. It is suitable for students, scholarship applicants, exchange students, and learners preparing to study in a Chinese-speaking environment.
PROGRAM SCOPE
HSK 1: GENERAL CHINESE. Develops foundational Mandarin skills for basic everyday communication. Learners can use simple words, phrases, and sentences for greetings, introductions, and basic personal information. (Learning Hours: 150)
HSK 2: GENERAL CHINESE. Builds basic Mandarin skills for familiar everyday situations. Learners can communicate about routine topics such as family, daily activities, food, shopping, and transportation. (Learning Hours: 100)
HSK 3: ACADEMIC CHINESE. Develops Mandarin skills needed for study and everyday academic life. Learners can communicate about familiar academic topics, understand classroom language, and express basic ideas and experiences. (Learning Hours: 100)
HSK 4: ACADEMIC CHINESE. Strengthens Mandarin for academic and campus settings. Learners can participate in discussions, understand longer texts and presentations, and communicate ideas with greater clarity and accuracy. (Learning Hours: 250)
HSK 5: ACADEMIC CHINESE. Develops advanced Mandarin for academic study. Learners work with complex texts, discussions, presentations, and written tasks while expressing ideas clearly and appropriately. (Learning Hours: 150)
